Overlooking the historic market town of Stanhope, in what was once a vast hunting ground belonging to the Prince Bishops of Durham, the B&B accommodation is beautifully located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with panoramic views across Weardale.

A perfect place for
walking and cycling holidays with beautiful walks and cycle
routes that take you through the
areas strong industrial heritage, which stems from mining lead and
quarrying limestone. The
distinctive black marble quarried at nearby Frosterley has
been
used throughout the world and some of the best examples can be
seen in Durham Cathedral.
We offer special
mid week rates for individual
and group bookings.
For those who wish to enjoy the regions special places of interest without having to worry about driving, information on group trips is provided at our Group Adventures link, including a pick up service for those traveling to us by public transport.
Information on walks and cycle routes are provided in the rooms. Additional tourist information can be obtained from the Durham Dales Centre in Stanhope, the regions tourist information centre.
