Howard and Linda created the cottage style B&B accommodation, as a haven for people who are looking for that perfect relaxing break in a peaceful and restful environment.

We take pride in providing quality, private B&B accommodation in a picturesque tree lined environment, with a small carp fishing pond, and landscaped sitting areas with beautiful panoramic views across Weardale.

With a choice of a twin en-suite room or four double en-suite rooms, including a four poster bed, our special offers start from £55.00 per room per night, inclusive of continental breakfast, and free fishing. All rooms are en-suite, complete with TV, sofa or chairs, and tea/coffee making facilities. Concerned about parking your car on the street? We are the only B&B is Stanhope with a private car park.

Away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, our quiet, private, quality accommodation provides the ideal base from which to explore the Durham Dales, Vindolanda at Hadrians Wall and Northumberland, or enjoy a BBQ at our landscaped sitting area, or to simply relax at our carp fishing pond.

A perfect place for walking and cycling holidays (C2C, Waskerley Way) with beautiful routes that take you through the areas strong industrial heritage, which stems from mining lead and quarrying limestone. The distinctive black marble quarried at nearby Frosterley has been used throughout the world and some of the best examples can be seen in Durham Cathedral.
